Outside of my “Erotica Obscura” project, I enjoy photographing individuals and couples who have sought me out to create images for them. All of the images here are from early in my experience, so do not reflect my current capability or quality of work.
I am very grateful for their participation.
Additionally, I occasionally enjoy manipulating images I’ve captured, to explore artistically and to create more conceptual works. These often are intended to covey a specific concept or message.
Conceptual Works
“Morbus”
Using a photo I’d taken of two young men together in romantic repose, this image was created by layering a rusted metal texture and various manipulation techniques. The intent was to make a statement about how HIV and its historically negative social perception turns something natural and beautiful into something ugly and destroyed.
“Pump”
By overlaying an industrial diagram of a water pump against a phot I’d taken of two men fucking, this image intends to convey the mechanical aspect of Gay male sex, apart from emotion or feeling.
